Let’s take a look at Santa’s Naughty or Nice List this year, shall we?

As it is every Christmas, we get early access to Santa’s list of those who behaved and misbehaved. And wow, this list is exceptional.

At the top of the naughty list for the second year in a row are those scumbags from United Airlines. Why? A few weeks back, they enjoyed making boss man and the rest of the passengers sit on a plane for 90 minutes waiting to take off due to “delays”. Worst yet, they made the boss check his bag at the gate because they “ran out of space” only to misplace it and wait another two hours to retrieve it after landing back at O’Hare. Eat shit, United. You and the other clowns on this side of the list get coal in your stockings.

On the nice list is no surprise. King Slash tops it and is rewarded with yet, another T-Bone steak courtesy of Inboden’s in DeKalb. And of course, customers of Best In The Smoker’s World continue their run on the good side of life. For this, they will continue to get the best products and best deals out there.

Enjoy your Christmas, everyone!

And with that, we close out The Tour of 2024. Chicago was the final stop and yet, another two-for-one show. It was a party.

We thank all of our customers both in our store and in the 15 cities we visited this year. It was exhausting, but well-worth the traveling.

The Tour of 2025 will begin in February with the second biggest show of the year in Indianpolis. The 22-time DeKalb County Tobacco Store Champions will remain at the top.

See you this weekend!

We recently lost a very close member of our family.

Antonino Compau was one of my best friends in life. Unfortunately, God took him from us way too soon.

Without him, the product you know as “Moe Fro’s Kratom” doesn’t exist. He was the catalyst behind that brand. This is difficult to write as Nino and I had done business together for the last seven years. In that time, success turned into friendship and we became the best of friends. He was a little brother to me.

This has been a difficult time for myself along with his friends and family. But he is owed this. If it wasn’t for him, my business isn’t where it’s at today. He was a major contributor to what is known as Best In The Smoker’s World. Without Nino, my business isn’t as successful. He is owed so much gratitude.

Seven years ago, I had a customer come in named Matt that gave me his contact information. He swore that this Kratom was the best out there and that I should give it a shot. Nino was just getting the business off the ground. My store was one of the very few he had at the time. Before we knew it, not only were sales taking off for me, but for him as well. Both of our businesses were expanding.

And it was the start of something spectacular. After about a month of amazing sales on his product, I suggested my own brand called “Moe Fro’s”. Without any hesitation, he spent the time and money to make it happen. So many Kratom companies don’t test the products to ensure quality. Throughout the years, he also spent a ton of time and his own money to get the products tested in labs before they were sold. He never asked me to help cover those costs nor did he ask me to cover the costs for my personalized labels. It all came out of his pocket. And all this time later, Moe Fro’s has been the leading brand in the area.

Nino loved life. He also loved helping people live a better life whether it was through Kratom or just giving positive vibes. Whenever I told him someone came in with a success story, he was overwhelmed with happiness. He cared about all of his customers through his website and locally in Arizona. He spoke to many of them personally to help. He encouraged his customers that they will live better lives and win their battles.

He was also very spirtual and that was extremely helpful to me when I lost someone else who was close to me years ago. He always gave suggestions to me on what natural products could help me get through a tough night. He always checked on me to see how I was doing, even if it was just to say hello. He did this all the time. He truly cared about everyone close to him.

Almost every year since meeting, he either came up to visit or I went down to Arizona. I met his girlfriend and his family. They are great human beings that treated me like I was part of their own family. They always gave me a place to stay so I wouldn’t have to pay to get a hotel. Anytime I went down there, they covered my entire stay even when I kept telling them I would buy dinner. I am forever thankful for that.

During these seven years, we talked about our passion for the business. We discussed ideas on how to better it. We were very much the same person in terms of philosophies. We had many similarities. We both started our businesses very young in life. And yes, we also had similar experiences with law enforcement and being arrested when we were young and stupid. While that is awful and sounds awful, those discussions turned into laughter. We never had any conflicts and that’s rare in this industry. Anytime there was an issue such as the wrong product being sent, it was solved immediately and without any frustrations. He’s one of the very few that every experience I had was positive with my business.

Nino didn’t own his business just for money. He was never selfish. He would focus on a customer first before himself. He was in this business because he believed in the products. He had flown to Indonesia multiple times to where the farms were located to make sure it was properly grown and taken care of. He had this business because it was his passion in life.

The last time I saw him in person was February 2023 when he wanted to go to his first pro wrestling show. Within weeks, I booked a flight to Phoenix and treated him to the best seats in the house for a Wednesday night show on National Television. He had an absolute blast knowing he was on TV. Before that, we also saw the Bears and Blackhawks play in person. He was amazed and thankful for being invited.

Nino was truly a little brother to me. He had the biggest heart. I saw a lot of my younger self in him, which I found both humorous and scary (sarcasm). With that came advice on what would be ahead in life. We had some long road trips between Flagstaff and Phoenix. During those times, it wasn’t always about our businesses. We had shared a lot of stories about some battles we had in our personal lives. The fact we both got past all of that garbage whether they were legal issues, breakups or otherwise, he reminded me that if I woke up in the morning, that is a blessing.

This is with a heavy heart that I remember this. I am thankful for the seven years I knew him.

My employees and I send our condolences to his friends and family. We all loved him. May God rest his soul.

Showdowns in Grand Rapids and Milwaukee.

It was a two-for-one in Grand Rapids and the DeKalb County Tobacco Store Champions showed up to play. Then five days later, we entered Wisconsin wearing hazmat suits. Mission accomplished.

Nothing beats “The Original” and that’s exactly what we proved. Our competition will forever have no choice but to acknowledge us.

One more stop remains on the tour and go figure, it’s another tw0-for-one. We head to the South Loop on Thanksgiving Eve.
